A new edition of AS/NZS 60598.2.2 has been released, bringing systematic changes to the structural design, electrical safety, performance testing and marking requirements for recessed luminaires. Manufacturers and exporters targeting the Australian market need to re-map their production and certification workflows against the new edition. One point on timing first: Standards Australia has not yet announced a firm transition deadline, and the previous edition — AS/NZS 60598.2
